The club has decided to really make the evening swing and is using the Promenade Marquee as the venue for the members. The day is to start around 1830 hrs and guests will have the ambience of the river setting to enjoy the start of a fruitful relationship with the South of Perth Yacht club.
The evening went well apart from a minor incident but the guest concerned was taken home and from all accounts is well today.
With his usual boisterous welcome from Commodore Michael Cook, the membership team took over and the guests were introduced to the committee members and we had the presence of several past commodores to add dignity to the proceedings. This event also marked the first official function for the new GM at the club Keith McLuckie.
The beverages and food were enjoyed and the new members were happy to come up and present themselves to the camera. Some of them knew they had a good side and some had to be coaxed to show it off, but all in all it was a wonderful evening and as I left to get home to start processing these images, the party continued into the night.
Enjoy the photos.
