The schedule this week with eased restrictions will enable The Jane Brook Wines Midweek Autumn Series to proceed, as well as Friday’s DF95 Club Championship. Saturday’s Frank Dal Autos Trophy Time Trial is also scheduled to go ahead. The Ballroom is once again available for post-race presentations but attendance is limited to 150 pax in line with current COVID restrictions.
Don’t forget the Rules sessions on Monday evenings with our Rules Chair, Christina Heydon. They are fun and entertaining as well as being totally relatable to your own experiences. Next session will be next Monday, 12 July at 1800 in the Wardroom.
Another information session to note is Safety at Sea by Warren Erasmus on Tuesday 27 July. Most will know that when Warren talks about safety, you won’t leave without having learnt something new. If you want to be prepared for those little emergencies at sea of anywhere for that matter, be sure to attend this one. Entry is free but please register. Scroll down for details.
When it comes to boat insurance, it is a Club requirement that the latest copy of the boat’s Certificate of Insurance be held for their records. Whenever the boat insurance is renewed, a copy of the CoI be emailed to . There is no requirement to send an additional copy to On Water Group. It is recommended that race cover be included in your policy otherwise you may find yourself short following any incident while racing.
If you can help out during the Australian Women’s Match Racing Championships Sept 16 – 19 2021, please register online (click here) or contact Scott Nunn, Sailing Administrator via email . Accommodation is also needed to host the various teams and interstate race officials. We are asking for home owners to consider billeting a team for the duration of the event. Please direct all enquiries to .
Attention Midweek sailors: Just as a general bit of advice, following the start and when the RPYC boats are charging down towards Foam Buoy for the first time, do try to keep well clear of that area otherwise your pleasant afternoon sail could turn into a real demolition derby. We want to avoid ugly scenes like this, so after rounding Sampson Spit, pass Foam Buoy (55) to starboard and stay safe.
Alright, that’s it. Let’s roll! Hey, let’s be careful out there.
Notice to Competitors
Please keep checking here for important race information for both Keelboats and Off The Beach Boats.

WINTER RULES SESSIONS
Attention all Keelboat, Off the Beach Boats and boards, your Rules session “workshops” commence in June 2021.
Years ago, the rules sessions were Lectures, which later became a mix of Lecture/Tutorial. This year we will be changing to a Workshop/Tutorial format. We have a constant core of sailors who have been advancing their rules knowledge every year & the new format will enable these Core sailors to keep advancing & not get bored.
The “Core” sailors consist of a range of demographics. I would like the experienced sailors to step up and present their tactics and how they use their knowledge & the rules to advance around the course. Then the group can discuss both the tactics and the relevant rules.
The sessions will start at 1800 & last for one hour. It will be beneficial to come to every session as every session will be different & you will be expanding your knowledge from one week to the next. If you cannot attend every week, that is OK, because each week is a stand alone session.
This group has a strong bond which has been created over the years & I hope that experienced sailors who have not attended will come to the sessions to assist & mentor others. Experienced sailors need competition!!!!!
Experienced Sailors we need your assistance so that everyone will benefit and the less experienced Sailors, it is time to get into the heads of the boats at the front!

Skippers, please note that your Equipment Audit Forms have now expired as of June 30. To be eligible to compete in the new season starting from Opening Day on Oct 4, a new Equipment Form must be submitted online. Most, if not all Skippers have had their previous Audit form submitted online via YachtSafe already, so it should be relatively easy to resubmit a new form in time for your first race of the new season and the good news is that you can view your previous form in Past Audits on your YachtSafe dashboard.

The ability to replay club fleet races is now available. Try the free Yacht Bot tracking software yourself. It can be downloaded and installed on your smartphone or tablet via an App. If you interested and don’t mind taking your electronic device with you on the water, please let us know.
